BCPs
Oh, birth control pills, never in my life did I think I would take you … yet I’ve now been on you for a week. Even before I came out as a lesbian, I was not exactly promiscuous – I had one boyfriend, in eighth grade, and that was it. So I never dreamed, even then, that I would take birth control pills. Yet here I am. Life is funny sometimes.

Lol. I remember one of my teachers made us memorize the definition of irony after that song (blanking on the name) came out.
Also, not only is there the irony of taking BCPs as a lesbian but also the irony of taking them to get pregnant in general.

“when a word or phrase’s connotation is the opposite of its denotation.” that’s what i chant at my little ruffians.
the song’s name is “ironic.” but i forgive alannis for it, because of her april fools’ cover of “my humps.” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PIKG69z59Bs

Ours was “when the opposite happens of what was expected.” All these years later I still remember it exactly.
The video cracked me up.
